| A thank you to Jane for pointing out that there's no alphabetical way of searching for locations on TWWSI .... I was sure it was something I had done - but alas - not. So i've put that in place now - down at the right bottom you can now search either by date of location or alphabetically .... which has led me to search out locations that start with U X Y or Z ..... |

| A big Happy Christmas from all (well that's just me) at TWWSI! As the latest location - Glebe Place - would normally be due on 31st December - I decided to give us an extra week on this one - partly due to the festive period but also as it's a little out of the way - so it's now due on 7th January. Have a great festive period! |

| Sorry for anyone who's had upload problems this last week - A server upgrade has caused a few issues for some people. These are, with a bit of luck, fixed now and normal service should be resumed. Email me if you find this not to be the case! |

| Well folks - once more an apology for the comments cull that has just taken place - if I have removed any recent comments of yours please accept my humblest - but it's had to be done for the sake of the site. I've FINALLY put into place some anti-spam measures on the comments and sign up process - hopefully to most regulars this will not affect you at all as you will not need to enter tricky code type things if you are logged in ..... I'm hoping this will sort things out - i'm keeping a close eye on it! In the meantime : LETS COMMENT!!! |

| I just want to say sorry for the fact that this spammer business is not sorted yet - and if you come across some spammed up comments to images please try and ignore them. I have some code to put in place to stop all of this happening - but I've not had any time to put this in place - I will get this done early next week and we should then see the back of these w**kers. |

| I'm sorry to say that the spamming problem was alot larger than I anticipated and I haven't the time to properly fix things for a few days - as a result I've just had to dump pretty much all the comments made this year - I will be working on restoring the genuine ones over the next week. I've also had to cull the accounts aswell - so if anyone has problems logging in, just drop me a line and i'll sort you out. On the positive front you should all see a marked improvement in the performance of the site and not have to endure any adverts that promise to do wonders for your nether regions.... I tell you, the Ukraine has alot to answer for.... |

| There's been a quite significant attack on the site via spammers causing a bit of havoc to the bandwidth and to the comments. I'm going to introduce some antispam stuff later tonight and clear out the databases. If the site goes down for a while then please bear with me.... |

| It's been difficult for me to spend alot of time on TWWSI recently due to family and work commitments - I'm hoping to change this and spend a bit more time getting your opinion about where the site should be going. Please watch this space and your email over the next few weeks where I'll be announcing a few plans to move forwards. As a side note - the traffic to the site has started to go a little crazy - March has had an average of 1000 people visiting a day .... which is great .... apart from the bandwidth this generates. If you see any strange behaviour towards the end of the month on the site - this is probably why ... bear with it! |

| Appologies for the lack of news recently, been a bit 'headsdown' time here at TWWSI towers. But I do have some news - I've decided to get some TWWSI cards printed up so that it's a delight (instead of a pain) to be in one of these postions: 1. Being asked what the 'flip' you are taking photos for? 2. Seeing someone with a camera whilst you are shooting your TWWSI pics and thinking - should I talk to them or not? 3. Finding yourself in the kind of place where leaving a TWWSI card will mean it's picked up by someone who will bring fame and fortune to the project and it's illustrious father...... (Okay maybe not the last one) So take a look at em here - click click click Sorry all the pictures are mine, but I did fork out for the cards (!) so I feel slightly justified!..... It just leaves me to say that if you would like a fistfull - just drop me a line at givemecards@thewayweseeit.org with your address, and i'll pop some in the post ... or if anyone wants the docs to make their own or just print them themselves, just get in touch. | Just a thought that you or others may be interested in. I created cards for London Daily Photo by phtoshopping some fave images so that you can fit 4 onto a 6 x 4 print, overlay the text of the URL and printing them off at my local processing (say 7p/print) and chop them up on the guillotine. You get around 50 cards (full colour, obviously) for £1. I can then hand them out like confetti. |

| Well everyone - we're here at last! It's been a long time in the making, but version 2.0 is with us and I hope you all enjoy it. There's lots of new stuff to see - and I hope everything is laid out a little easier for you and for people visiting the site. There are some major changes - so take a while to peruse the FAQ which should contain most new information (i.e. new sizes for images!) IMPORTANT if you have submitted to TWWSI in the past, you will have automatically been set up an account - you should have received an email from us with your account details in. If not - please email us and we'll foward your details. If you create a new account you will lose association with the images that you posted previously. Please bear with us for the next couple of weeks while we iron out the bugs - you see, when I say 'us' there is really only one of 'us' and 'us' hasn't had that much time to really put this thing through it's paces .... PLEASE BE GENTLE! It's only leaves me to say thank you to everyone who has taken part in TWSSI in the past and I hope with this new version that the site has a long and healthy future.
